Delete your Remember When account

Two ways to do it. Either one starts the same process.

In the app

Open Me, then Account, then Delete account. The app shows what will happen and asks for a six-digit code sent to your account email to confirm it is you.

On the web, without the app

If you cannot open the app, use the deletion page: https://api.rmbrwhen.app/account-deletion. Enter the email address of the account; we send a six-digit code. No password is needed.

What happens

• Your account, profile and ad are hidden at once, and every device is signed out.
• Your photos, messages and other ordinary data are removed within 30 days.
• Other people's albums stay, without your name or profile.
• A few records must remain for a safety or legal reason. They are listed on the status page you see after you ask.
• If a law or an open safety case requires it, some records can be held longer than 30 days (proposed rule).
• Backups are proposed to expire within 35 days, so removed data can remain in a backup until then.
